About the Project
Performa
Performa 17 is a festival of performance art that took over New York City in November 2017. We partnered with Performa to design and build a website optimized for mobile audiences to explore the schedule, artists, and themes.
Based on branding designed by artist Barbara Kruger, we crafted an easy-to-use website that presented thorough visitor information with in-depth listings, interactive maps, video, and a stream of social media posts. Visitors could browse all events in a single page and drill down on specific areas of interests with ease.
Large images, video, and audio enhanced the audience’s connection to the artists and their work. Performa staff could update all parts of the site through an intuitive backend interface enabling them to make quick adjustments throughout the festival’s run.
“Perry is the perfect partner for cultural non-profits and is super easy to work with. He understands the mission, the madness and the peculiarities of the work we do and works quickly, cleanly and communicates clearly. The whole Perfoma team gives Perry Garvin a big thumbs up!”
